As you can see in the title above our topic for this week isssss (drum-role in my mind XD) Love. At first when I was deciding what to talk about I wasn’t sure if you guy would like this topic but i decided to do it anyway 😀
Ok…as teens what does ¨love¨ means?? In my opinion love is more than just a feeling and its not only given in a couple, but also in family, friends (one of the BEST) and last but not least GOD!!! He is like this constant presence that remind us in our hearts that no matter how hard a situation may be there is always a good reason to keep fighting. Love is giving everything you have without asking for anything in return (It took me too long to give this def. XD). Love is this strange sensation that makes you feel like your stomach is in your mouth and that there are all kinds of stuff going on in your body. It is that feeling you get when your mom cooks breakfast for you or kisses you goodnight. Love is what you feel when you know you can close your eyes and talk to the most amazing person in the whole world and being absolutely sure that He is listening because He is your God and He loves you. With that being said i want to show you the most trustworthy source to know what this 4 letter word means:
1 Corinthians 13:
“If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
Typical situation for this week….If you have ever noticed in school you always tend to have preference for some people, usually those who have been your classmates longer or those who have gain your trust. Well what would happen if one this friends is in love with this girl/boy who doesn’t deserve them. You as a friend come to him/her and try to give them advice… but as stupid humans that we are this person doesn’t care because he/she is (the most dramatics words ever)¨In love.¨ Your first reaction (or at least mine…aside from wanting to slap them) is angriness and impotence.
Well assuming time goes by and this person is still crazy for this other person and you don’t know what else to do. Here are some tips that have worked in the past (for other people of course because I have never been in this type of situation XD):
*Since understanding is out of question try to show your friend what this other person is like. Maybe by showing him/her how this person acts while around other people or by confronting this person and making them tell the truth.
*Showing your friend that there are other priorities in life aside from the fact of having a boyfriend or girlfriend.
* Telling them that love is something much more deep than just a crush and that if this person truly loves them they are going to prove it.
*Play with their proud! As humans we don’t like to seem weak or fool….Tell them that they still have a dignity and that begging this person is only making them look desperate.
*At last….be supportive we all go through this sometime!
Hello everybody…As you can see I have decided to explore a new way of communication (for me at least) and through this blog (that sounds soo professional XD) I want to show you a list of different life situations that we get involved in and that sometimes we don’t really know how to handle. Has anyone noticed that the hardest things in life aren’t taught, but experienced?? If you can relate to this and you keep asking yourself why aren’t any of this hard situations taught in school instead of doing math problems…. I can be a 100% sure that you would want to stay tuned…!!
I hope everything is going well for you all…see you in my next post…..XOXO
